Coronavirus cases on the rise again

Ljubljana - Slovenia reported 3,141 new coronavirus cases for Monday, up by more than 20% over the week before and the highest daily figure since 18 February. The trend has turned upwards as expected two weeks after the relaxation of most restrictions.

The 14-day incidence rate per 100,000 population rose by nearly thirty to 1,179, whereas the seven-day rolling average of new daily cases jumped by almost ninety to 1,742, show data by the National Institute of Public Health (NIJZ).

The NIJZ estimates there are now almost 25,000 active cases in the country, up by almost a thousand over the day before.
