Parsifal poll shows SDS far ahead of Freedom Movement

Ljubljana - The ruling Democrats (SDS) are far ahead of the Freedom Movement, according to the first in a series of daily polls done by pollster Parsifal and carried by Siol, Planet TV and Nova24TV on Friday.

Polling at 25%, the SDS has an almost nine-point lead on the Freedom Movement, a new party led by former energy firm boss Robert Golob.

All other parties rank at below 10%, with the Social Democrats (SD) at 7.8%, Left at 4.3%, and New Slovenia at 4.1%.

The alliance Connecting Slovenia tallied 3.5%, the SAB 2.8%, the LMÅ  2.7% and the Pensioners' Party (DeSUS) 2%.

Just under 19% are undecided. 6.1% would not go to the polls and 2.3% would not vote for any of the parties offered.

Among the decided voters, 34.6% would vote for the SDS, 22.3% for the Freedom Movement, and 10.7% for the SD.

The only other parties to enter parliament would be the Left (5.9%), NSi (5.7%) and Connecting Slovenia (4.9%).

The poll was conducted on 21-23 March and involved 735 respondents.
