Ljubljana - Just over 800 new coronavirus infections were detected in Slovenia on Sunday as the downward trend continues. According to the Health Ministry, 179 patients are in hospitals due to Covid, including 28 in intensive care. Four Covid patients died yesterday after no data was released for Saturday and Friday.

The National Institute of Public Health estimates there are currently 36,479 active infections in the country, down 261 from the day before.

On Sunday, 802 infections were recorded, down 108 from a week ago.

The 7-day average of new daily cases continues to drop, standing at 2,377, down by 13, and the cumulative 14-day incidence per 100,000 people dropped by 12 to 1,728.
