The meeting with Barroso is scheduled a day before the start of a two-day EU summit. Moreover, Janša will attend the eurozone summit on Friday the same week.

On Thursday the Slovenian PM will also take part in the summit of the European People's Party, of which his Democrats (SDS) are members.
