President Pahor meets Ukrainian refugees

Politics

Ljubljana - President Borut Pahor learnt about the problems faced by Ukrainian refugees in Slovenia first-hand as he visited a jobs presentation for them at Slovenian Philanthropy, a Ljubljana-based charity, on Tuesday.

During his visit, Pahor got acquainted with the activities the charity offers. He discussed with the charity's staff and the refugees how to improve their current situation. He promised to refer the issues to the competent authorities and hopes they can find solutions by next week. He also extended an invitation to the charity to visit him at the Presidential Palace.

The president's visit was part of the volunteer project A Day for Change, organised by Slovenian Philanthropy. This year's slogan is Co-creating a Community and the project's main events were held on Saturday.
