Ceremonial, leisure and fan kits were manufactured by Chinese company Peak, while competition outfits were produced by Slovenia's Toper.

Designer Sandi Murovec expressed satisfaction that he was able to implement outlines of the London Olympics symbol, which is otherwise prohibited, in the outfits because it resembles the Slovenian symbol of Triglav, the country's highest peak.

"We had to try really hard for it... The International Olympic Committee said that we won't be able to use the outlines on our outfits, but when we showed them our national symbols, including Triglav, they were forced to back down," he explained.

Limited edition fan kits, featuring shirts, caps, wristbands and rattles, will be available from July at Petrol filling stations.
