Ljubljana - A total of 457 new coronavirus infections were confirmed in Slovenia on Monday, which is in line with the steady decline in cases seen in recent weeks. Four people died, while the number of patients in intensive care due to Covid-19 remains unchanged at 17.

The total number of patients in hospital this morning due to the disease but not intensive care increased by 4 to 108, show official data, released on Tuesday.

The National Institute of Public Health estimates there are presently 19,381 active cases in the country, down by nearly 3,000 compared to Monday.

The 7-day average of new cases has dropped by 307 to 1,019 and the 14-day notification rate per 100,000 of the population by 140 to 915.
