Cases up week-on-week, hospitalisations down
Ljubljana - Slovenia recorded 985 new cases of coronavirus for Monday, which is more than double the figure a week ago, when Monday was a holiday and testing was limited. The number of patients in hospital dropped and there were no Covid fatalities reported.
There were 75 people hospitalised because of Covid-19 at regular hospital wards this morning, down seven from yesterday, plus an extra nine in intensive care, the same as yesterday, show Health Ministry data.
Despite the week-on-week jump the 14-day incidence per 100,000 population dropped marginally to 497. The National Institute of Public Health estimates roughly 10,500 cases are currently active.
