Iskratel happy with 2021 results given situation
Kranj - Telecoms equipment maker Iskratel reported EUR 98.4 million in revenue for 2021, up 5.5% year-on-year. "Our business result was positive in what was a really challenging period," Iskratel CEO Robert Kuzmič has told the STA.
In light of developments at home and around the world, the group is satisfied with the results despite not having achieved the initial plans.
Kuzmič said that production and the realisation of the planned transactions had been mainly affected by supply chain disruptions, with delays in the delivery of chips, various materials and components. Moreover, price hikes contributed to the underperformance.
The current situation remains challenging as both Ukraine and Russia are important markets for Iskratel, but the company "has adapted to the new situation and has taken measures to deliver the business result", the CEO said.
Key measures include stepped up presence in Central and Western European markets. Iskratel expects that once the situation stabilises, they will achieve their planned medium-term growth.
The Kranj-based company employs more than 900 people in ten countries. As a member of the global technology group S&T, Iskratel has a local presence in more than 50 countries.
