Supervisors Reaffirm Support to Laško Management

The initiative for the session and the confidence vote came from the two representatives of workers on the supervisory board.

The vote of confidence came amidst media speculations that Laško CEO Dušan Zorko might face dismissal over allegedly controversial counselling contracts. But the CEO told reporters in April that he saw no reason for his dismissal.

Following an in-house audit, Laško supervisors commissioned Pricewaterhousecoopers three months ago to conduct an independent audit into some of the contracts, but the report revealed no major irregularities, the supervisors said a week ago.

The management was however tasked with making all the necessary improvements to boost transparency of business operations, while the audit commission of the supervisory board will continue looking into the dealings and regularly report on the findings.
