Added value to this event is the meeting of business leaders from Slovenia and the CEE and SEE region with South African business community, which is a result of joint efforts by CEEMAN, Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia and honorary consuls of South Africa and Slovenia. The 20th CEEMAN Annual Conference will take place on 24-29 September 2012 in South Africa, co-organized with the University of Stellenbosch Business School (USB). The conference in the "rainbow nation" of Africa is attracting increasing attention among CEEMAN members and beyond.
The general theme of the conference, "Business and Educational Challenges in Dynamically Changing Environments", provides an excellent opportunity for a dialogue on the central issues that businesses, business schools, and societies at large are facing at a time when the whole world is rapidly changing.
"The upcoming CEEMAN Annual Conference will provide an excellent opportunity for all of us to continue our fruitful practice of sharing and learning from each other. Our meeting and discussion in South Africa will add new colors to CEEMAN's own "rainbow" of more than 200 members from 51 countries from around the globe We are especially proud of cooperation with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia and both honorary consuls, which enables a group of business leaders from Slovenia, SEE and other countries to attend a part of CEEMAN conference and  meet with South African business community. ", pointed out Prof. Danica Purg, President of CEEMAN and IEDC - Bled School of Management.

"I'm glad to see CEEMAN having an influence way outside its original area of concern. There
are huge similarities between Central Europe, Southern Africa, India and South America,
as well as strong learning potential in all of these regions. I am genuinely excited that
CEEMAN has been stepping up to a role of representing business schools from the emerging
economies. There is no other organization that does that on a world basis," says the co-host of the Conference, Prof. John Powell, Director of University of Stellenbosch Business School, South Africa.

Business program in conjunction with the 20th CEEMAN Annual Conference was presented by Mr. Aleš Cantarutti, Director of the International Relations Department  of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia. He stressed that: "besides the part of Conference where business world and educators will have a dialogue on issues related to acting in dynamically changing environments, meetings between business delegation from Slovenia and the region and South African business community will focus on concrete opportunities for cooperation. The interest from both sides is above our expectations and we are working hard to prepare an excellent program of the visit."

Honorary consul of South Africa in Slovenia Mr. Janez Pergar mentioned that: "South Africa could be an excellent gateway to promising BRICS markets, and this initiative could be a wonderful opportunity to start a new era of mutually beneficial relationships between Slovenian and South African companies, as well as between business and academia."
