The race was won by Alexandr Vinokurov of Kazakhstan, who finished the 250km route in 5:45:57. Rigoberto Uran Uran of Colombia bagged silver with the same time, while Norway's Alexander Kristoff needed 5:46:05 to finish the race.

Brajkovič was close behind in the same group of pursuers, finishing in 5:46:05, while Božič and Bole crossed the finish line in 5:46:37.
