As many as 26% blame the political crisis on Prime Minister Janez Janša; 14% believe the coalition is at fault, while 9% said the opposition is to blame.

While 32% believe the current government should continue its work, more than half of the respondents find the blockade could be resolved by a different government: 21% want an early election, 19% believe there should be a government reorganisation, while 16% want a new coalition without an election.

More than a half of the respondents also believe Slovenia should put the fiscal rule in a law and not write it in the Constitution: 52.2% said a law would be enough, while 30.5% believe the rule should be included in the Constitution, while 3% feel the fiscal rule is not needed at all.

The pollsters also inquired about the issue of Croatian deposits in defunct LB bank. Nearly half (49%) believe Slovenia is right to ratify Croatia's EU accession treaty only after the issue is resolved, while 36% do not support this position.

Over two thirds of the respondents are moreover critical of a Vatican order sending retired Ljubljana Archbishop Alojzij Uran to Trieste. 69% of the respondents are against the move, while 17% expressed agreement.

The survey was conducted over the phone among 400 respondents between 25 and 26 July by Delo's in-house pollster Delo Stik.
