What interests Bollywood the most are fine outdoor scenes. Usually they shoot these in Switzerland, France or Tuscany, but this time they decided for Slovenia, said Katarina Karlovšek of RTA.

If it turns out to be a good decision, they plan to return. For Slovenia this is an excellent opportunity to develop tourism and business. European locations that Indians get to know in films often become their popular tourist destinations, said Karlovšek.

The announced Indian visit results from this year's event in Chennai, the capital of the Indian State of Tamil Nadu, where they celebrated the 20th anniversary of Slovenian statehood and the 20th anniversary of diplomatic relations between India and Slovenia.

On this occasion the Slovenian Ambassador in India Janez Premože opened the second Slovenian Film Festival in Chennai, where five films were screened.

India is the largest producer of films in the world with the centre of its commercial film production in Mumbai.
