Weekly vignette sales were up nearly 5%, while the sales of monthly stickers increased by just under 1%. Meanwhile, annual vignette sales dropped by 3% on the first half of last year, figures made available by DARS show.

The company's inspectors issued fines to about 19,000 drivers caught without a valid toll sticker in the first half of the year, which is about 2,000 fewer than in the first half last year.
