Ljubljana - Slovenia confirmed 1,624 new Covid cases on Wednesday in what is an 18% drop week-on-week. As the epidemic continues to wane, hospitalisations remain stable, shows the latest data by the Health Ministry.

The total of patients in regular wards who are hospitalised for Covid-19 as their main condition has increased by five to 91 in a day. Meanwhile, the number of ICU cases has remained level at 14.

Two people with Covid died yesterday.

The 7-day average of new daily cases stands at 1,478, down by 56 over the day before, and the 14-incidence rate per 100,000 of the population dropped by ten to 1,055, shows data by the National Institute of Public Health.

The number of people with active infections in the country has decreased by 211 to 22,343.
