The number of cars registered for the first time dropped by 13.45% to 4,105 year-on-year, while the number of registered new vans increased by 9.49% to 496.

The breakdown by car brands sees Renault as the best-seller in July with an 18.78% market share, followed by Volkswagen (12.45%), Peugeot (8.36%), Opel (7.89%), and Citroen (7.55%).

Among vans, Peugeot was the leading brand in July with a 23.19% market share, followed by Renault (19.56%) and Volkswagen (16.94%).

The number of new vehicles registered in Slovenia in the first seven months of 2012 stood at 36,291, down by 12.71% from the same period last year.
