The jubilee show will be marked by tradition, which has become its mission over the past five decades, and the freshness with which it explores new content and projects, Erjavec noted.

The fair, held on 68,300 m2 of exhibition space, will feature over 60 presentations and panels. The organisers have already reviewed 1,142 products of 336 producers from nine countries, giving out over 900 medals of quality.

Apart from achievements in agriculture, the fair, which will be opened by President Danilo Türk, will mark the 50th anniversary of the common European agricultural policy and the 140th anniversary of cooperatives.

Organisers also plan to put a lot of emphasis on projects promoting Slovenian agriculture, like "I'm Buying Slovenian", as well as organic and regional products and foods.

Countries and regions-wise, the AGRA will this year focus on Austrian Styria province, Serbian Vojvodina, the Republika Srpska entity of Bosnia-Herzegovina, Brazil, Hungary and Poland.
