Unior posts higher half-year sales and profit

Zreče - The state-owned tool maker and automotive supplier Unior saw its half-year group net sales revenue rise by 16% year-on-year to EUR 141.6 million as net profit went up by a good quarter to EUR 8.1 million.

In June the group sold its 49% stake in Unior Tepid in Romania, which had a negative impact on the group bottom line of EUR 1.1 million, according to a report posted on the web site of the Ljubljana Stock Exchange.

Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) were up by a quarter from the first six months of 2021 to EUR 18.6 million.

The core company Unior posted EUR 102.4 million in half-year sales revenue, up by 13%, with the net profit doubling to EUR 5 million, which includes a positive effect of the sale of the stake in Unior Tepid of EUR 1.7 million. The core company's EBITDA was up by 14% to EUR 8.5 million.
