Ljubljana - Slovenia logged more than 2,000 daily coronavirus cases for the second time this week as Wednesday's tally rose by a third on the figure the same day a week ago to hit 2,051.

Data released by the Health Ministry shows 71 patients are treated at hospitals for Covid-19 as the prime condition, including six in intensive care. No patients with Covid-19 died yesterday.

According to the National Institute of Public Health, the 7-day average of new cases is now at 1,423, up 76 from the day before, and the 14-day incidence per 100,000 of the population increased by 24 in a day to 908.
