Ljubljana - A total of 2,174 coronavirus infections were recorded in Slovenia on Thursday, which is fewer than the day before but some 550 cases more than a week ago. Yesterday, 73 patients were treated for Covid at regular wards and 7 in intensive care, the Health Ministry said. No Covid patient died.

In total, 186 hospital patients had Covid, and 14 required intensive care.

According to the National Institute of Public Health (NIJZ), the 7-day average of new cases is now at 1,985, up 80 from the day before.

The 14-day incidence per 100,000 of the population increased by 44 to 1,155.

The NIJZ estimates that there are currently 24,338 active cases in the country, up 917 from the day before.
