Ljubljana - A total of 3,432 people tested positive for coronavirus in Slovenia on Wednesday, some 2% fewer than the same day a week ago, official figures show.

Data released by the Health Ministry shows three patients with Covid-19 died on Monday as 86 required hospital treatment for Covid-19, of whom seven required intensive care.

There are currently 26,698 active cases, 928 more than yesterday, according to the National Institute of Public Health (NIJZ).

The 7-day case average dropped to 2,037, down by 8 compared to the day before, while the 14-day incidence per 100,000 of the population is currently at 1,266, up by 44, according to the NIJZ.
