Ljubljana - Slovenia recorded 3,878 positive coronavirus tests on Monday, which is the largest daily count since March and about 400 more cases than were detected a week ago. According to the Health Ministry, 81 Covid patients were treated at regular hospital wards on Monday and nine in intensive care. One Covid patient died.

In total, 232 hospital patients were infected with coronavirus, of which 19 required intensive care.

The 7-day case average rose by 68 to 2,047, while the 14-day incidence per 100,000 of the population was up by 21 to 1,365, data from the National Institute of Public Health (NIJZ) shows.

The NIJZ puts the number of active infections in the country at 28,749, which is 438 more than the day before.
