Zagreb - Slovenian rider Matej Mohoric won the Tour of Croatia on Sunday finishing one second ahead of Tour de France champion Jonas Vingegaard for his first win at a multi-day race after 2018.

The Bahrain Victorious rider entered the fifth and final stage of the race eight seconds behind Vingegaard, who surprisingly failed to hold on to the lead.

Mohorič won the first sprint after the start to gain three bonus seconds and was second in the final sprint, earning another six seconds.

The Italian Elia Viviani was the stage winner.
