Biggest Postcard in World Created in Nova Gorica

The postcard with its 54 square metres and 23 kg has every chance of making it into the Guinness Book of Records, with Maver stressing that "the [Guinness Book of Records] team gave us clear instructions on how to make the postcard".

The postcard has to have a valid post stamp so it can be delivered to the addressee, who in this case is Mayor ArĨon.

"Everything is going on here in the square, as [the postcard] is a bit too heavy, and above all, it would be very inconvenient to carry it. We will hand it over to the mayor right here," Maver noted before the event.

The postcard will be on display in the Bevk square until the end of the week and then tour several other Slovenian towns before it will be exhibited permanently in Nova Gorica.

The previous world record is currently held by a postcard (49 m2) made by Deutsche Post and Toyota to promote the 12th IAAF world championships in athletics in Berlin in 2009.
