Ljubljana - A total of 4,173 coronavirus cases were recorded in Slovenia between Friday and Sunday, a 14.8% increase on a week ago. Four patients with Covid-19 died since Friday.

There were 96 patients hospitalised due to Covid-19 in conventional care on Sunday and 19 at intensive care units, which compares to 77 and eight respectively a week earlier.

Three patients infected with coronavirus died on Friday, one on Saturday and none on Sunday, the Ministry of Health said on Twitter.

The seven-day average of recorded cases is presently at 2246. The 14-day incidence rate per 100,000 people is currently at 1,412.

The National Institute of Public Health (NIJZ) estimates the number of active coronavirus cases at 29,748.
