PM Allegedly Considering a Government Reshuffle

The prime minister's office would not comment on speculations about a forthcoming government reshuffle, while Žerjav told the STA this was not a time for discord, but a time for "cool heads, wisdom, a constructive attitude and hard work...and a commitment to solve problems rather being concerned with ourselves".

Žerjav, who serves as minister for economic development and technology himself, told media on Wednesday that he hoped the SLS was still welcome in the coalition. "If we are not, someone should tell us so," he was quoted as saying.

Asked about the speculation about the potential replacement of Šušteršič and Pličanič from the Citizens' List (DL), party head Gregor Virant told reporters today that the party was not discussing the topic "as there's no proposal for any replacement of ministers and we have not seen it".

Virant said that the DL was focused on solving Slovenia's problems. "We find the topics in which politics is concerned with itself, history or ideology totally unimportant."

The media had already speculated about a government reshuffle before the summer.
