"It is my impression that today's meeting made an additional step forward towards an improved proposal. The sides are closer to an agreement, with the only gap remaining with regards to appointments into the (holding's) supervisory board," Pogačnik said.

Little has been known about the negotiations as part of the task-force. The decision on the holding has been postponed to autumn after party leaders failed to reach consensus before summer recesses that began in mid-July.
