Programme booklet for 19th Animateka festival.

Animateka, the international festival of animated film which is currently in its 19th year, will put the spotlight on French film as it takes place in Ljubljana between 28 November and 4 December.

A selection of the best French animations and best student films of the film school La Poudriere will be on show across the festival programme. French artists Michelle and Uri Kranot, long time collaborators and award winners, will be celebrated with a screening of their animated shorts.

Two Midnight Special screenings for adults will be French as well: Shorts for Adults and WTF2022, both having been created in collaboration with the Annecy International Animation Film Festival.

Overall 29 films are in the running for the Jury Grand Prize and the Audience Award, four featuring Slovenian film-makers. More than 50 films shot by students will compete in the Young Talents of Europe section.

In the Elephant competition programme 19 animated movies for children will vie for awards. There is also a new section featuring animated movies made for television, Elephant TV Specials.
