Slovenian Towns Take Part in European Mobility Week
Last year, as many as Slovenian 31 towns and even villages participated in the mobility week. In a number of countries across Europe, as many as 2,270 towns took part in the 2011 mobility week.
This year, Ljubljana will host an open-air dance event at Kongresni trg in the city centre and demonstrate the concept of combined use of bicycles and of public transport.
What is more, Ljubljana will also launch a transport-upon-request service for people with disability.
Maribor will host handicraft workshops using natural and waste materials, sporting games and other events will be held throughout the week, while Koper will organise a workshop dedicated to DYI solar collectors, among other things.
Among other towns participating in the European Mobility Week will also be Nova Gorica, Murska Sobota and Velenje.
