Average Pay Down 0.2% in July Over June

In real terms, gross pay in July was 0.8% higher than in the previous month and 2.4% lower than in July 2011. Meanwhile, the average net pay was 0.8% up on the monthly level in real terms.

The biggest drops on the monthly level were recorded in mining (7.2%), electricity, gas and steam supply (5.7%) and education (2.9%).

The highest increases, on the other hand, were recorded in utility services (2.5%), manufacturing (1.1%) and science and technology (0.9%).

Average gross pay in the public sector decreased by 1.3% over June, to 1,725.75, while in the private sector it went up by 0.5% to EUR 1,373.47.
