Ageing will be the main topic of the 18th annual festival, which will run until 13 October, and it will deal with the topic from the social, political and economic points of view.

Middle-aged and older female artists will be in the spotlight, while the programme will range from intimate stories of individual women to organised attempts at reflecting on the topic, programme director Mara Vujić said ahead of the festival.

Among the highlights will be exhibition by Ana Alvarez Errecalde at the Vžigalica gallery dubbed "More Store", which invites the visitor to enter, literally and metaphorically, into someone else's skin.

In performing arts, the meta-FAMILY Project by British artist Julie Bardsley has been underlined.

The film section of the festival will feature several documentaries about ageing, which will be screened at the Cankarjev dom arts and congress centre and the Kindovor cinema, while the music programme will bring a performance by US sound artist Marina Rosenfeld at the Kino Šiška arts centre.

Several workshops, including one led by US choreographer Maria Hassabi, will also be organised.
