Žerjav and Caglayan are expected to discuss ways to strengthen economic ties between the two countries, the Slovenian Economic Development and Technology Ministry has said in a press release prior to the visit.

Turkey is one of the fastest growing markets in Slovenia's vicinity, which opens new cooperation opportunities, according to the ministry.

Recently, an increase in the number of Slovenian companies exporting to Turkey has been recorded and these businesses are seeking long-term partnerships. Turkish companies are also interested in investing in Slovenia.

The ministry moreover said that Žerjav would present Slovenia as an investment opportunity.

At the business forum Slovenian representatives will present their companies to potential Turkish partners and bilateral meetings are also scheduled.

The business delegation visit and the business forum are organised by the Agency for Entrepreneurship and Foreign Investments (JAPTI), the ministries of economic development and technology and foreign affairs and the Economic Relations Board of Turkey.
