The teams were evenly matched in the first quarter, with the four-point gap coming only after a botched pass by Aaron Baynes gave Dimitris Diamantidis an easy three-pointer.

In the second quarter the guests stepped up the pace as the Olimpija defence struggled, gaining an 11-point lead in the 17th minute and going into halftime with an 8-point gap on the back of a strong performance by Jonas Maciulis.

Panathinaikos kept up the pressure in the second half, with the Olimpija defence impotent against the aggressive guests, in particularly the top scorer, Maciulis.

After three rounds Real, Fenerbahce and Panathinaikos are on top with a 2:1 record, while Olimpija, Mapooro Cantu and Khimki Moscow are at 1:2.

In round four Olimpija face Khimki in Moscow next Friday.
