Maze, who took a commanding lead in the first run, eased to the top podium place in the second with a combined time 2:31.41.

She finished 0.41 seconds ahead of second-placed Kathrin Zettel of Austria. Another Austrian, Stefanie Köhle, was third, 1.71 seconds behind Maze.

Slovenia had another top-15 finisher, as Ana Drev took 13th place (+4.39), her third-best career finish.
