Single pass available for train rides across country

Travels

The Slovenian Railways have introduced single monthly and annual passes that can be used for train rides throughout the country longer than 20 kilometres. The monthly pass will set you back €65 and the annual €520, which is 5% less than the single pass for trains and buses that has been available since 1 June.

Return tickets for distances over 80 kilometres will no longer be available as daily passes enabling unlimited rides throughout the country are now be available for €14.

The age limit for a 50% discount for children has been raised from 12 to 15 years and the annual pass for primary school children will be valid the whole year from now on, including during the summer holidays as the state wants to encourage train rides.

Starting from 11 August, a weekly pass for distances over 40 kilometres costs €32. A monthly pass for distances over 20 kilometres not confined to a single passenger is available for €85.

A six-month pass is available for €325 or €425 for multiple passengers. The annual pass that can be used by more persons is priced at €680.
