Exports Slightly Up Y/Y in First Three Quarters
The Statistics Office recorded a steep fall in imports in the same period. Slovenia imported EUR 1.778bn worth of goods in September, down 13.1% on the year before. The value of exports surpassed imports by 0.4%.
In the first nine months of the year, imports dropped by 1.6% year-on-year to EUR 16.458bn. Export-import ratio was 95% with the trade gap amounting to EUR 823.2m.
Exports to EU countries amounted to EUR 1.232bn in September, representing 69% of all exports, while Slovenia imported EUR 1.369bn of goods from the EU or 77% of all imports.
