Rod Stewart coming to Ljubljana next year
British pop-rock icon Rod Stewart will give a concert in Ljubljana on 19 May next year in what will be his first performance in Slovenia ever. Fans can look forward to an evening of "full of surprises".
"I'm really excited about my first concert in Ljubljana and look forward to performing in front of the wonderful Slovenian audience," the 78-year-old was quoted as saying by the Star Production company, which organizes the concert at Stožice Arena.
Fans can look forward to Stewart performing his greatest hits such as Sailing, The First Cut Is The Deepest, Rhythm Of My Heart, Tonight's the Night, and Maggie May.
During his 50-year career, Stewart has sold over 250 million albums worldwide and is considered one of the most popular and successful musicians ever.
The two-time Rock And Roll Hall of Fame inductee is also a Grammy and Brit Award winner. In 2016, he was knighted by Britain's Prince William for services to music and charity.
He has had 16 top-ten singles on the Billboard Hot 100. Ten of his albums also topped UK billboards and 17 were dubbed most successful in the US.
With his unmistakable raspy voice, the singer-songwriter combines various styles, ranging from pop and rock to blues and country, and creates unique tunes.
Tickets for the Ljubljana concert will be available at the Eventim website starting from 17 November at 11am. Members of the Rod Stewart Fan Club will be able to secure them a day earlier.
