Arboretum Volčji Potok, Slovenia's largest botanical gardens, have put on a festive appearance, coming aglow with more than two million lights.

A spectacular light trail illuminated by 27 kilometres of Christmas lights takes visitors from one dazzling illumination to the next.

On their stroll through the park visitors can enjoy decorations such as crystal tunnels, an illuminated sundial, a river of light in the rose garden and a breathtaking waterfall above the Big Pond.

There is Santa and his reindeer, magical reflections on the lakes, an illuminated silhouette of the French Garden, an enchanted forest, and much more.

Children visiting the tent in front of the Manor House can greet a puppet Santa and enjoy one of his interesting stories in the company of his elves from faraway lands.

Visitors can take a stroll among the lights every day, including weekends and holidays, between 18 November 2023 and 7 January 2024, from 3pm to 9pm. The park will be illuminated daily from 4pm.

The Arboretum's Garden Centre will also host a Christmas fair from 2 to 23 December.
