President Pirc Musar national vice-champion in bowling

Slovenian President Nataša Pirc Musar has finished second in the national bowling championships in the mixed teams, after winning the national title in the doubles last year.

Pirc Musar played alongside Žiga Zalar, Tim Cerkvenik Muzafirovič and Victoria Krivolutskaya in the competition, which took place over the first two weekends of the year, the Slovenian Bowling Federation said.

"I'm super happy," the president said on Instagram as she posted a photo from the awards ceremony.

The president has long been a competitive bowling player and holds multiple national titles. In the past she also served as secretary-general of the European Tenpin Bowling Federation.

She was part of the national bowling team that won bronze at the Mediterranean Bowling Championship in Ljubljana in 2017.

In April 2023 year she also made political headlines with the sport, when she bowled with Hungarian President Katalin Novak during a visit to Hungary.
