Slovenian architect and photographer Ana Skobe has won the Sony World Photography Award for best architectural photo for her image of a lighthouse, having already taken the top regional award at the competition.

Falling Out of Time won her the top award in one of the ten individual categories featured as well as the regional award for Croatia, Slovenia, Serbia, Montenegro, Kosovo, and Bosnia-Herzegovina.

It depicts "a lighthouse against a clear sky at dusk, its sleek, geometric design contrasting with the coastal landscape and a solitary figure", reads the description on the Sony World Photography Awards website.

The image was picked as the best among 15 short-listed in a global section for architecture photography.
