The fair will bring 129 events and two exhibitions. One of those will present two less known publishers, Janez Giontini and Anton Turk, who have significantly marked Slovenia's publishing history and the other acclaimed German author Karl May (1842-1912).

The traditional coffee shop debates will focus on the challenges of publishing, electronic books, humanistic and spiritual discussions and topical social and political topics, the coordinator of the project Valentina Smej Novak told a press conference ahead of the fair.

The Slovenian Writers' Association will also put up the "Writers' Stage", as part of which several Slovenian authors will present their experience from book fairs all over the world, from Russia, India and South America to the Arab world.

A literary event featuring members of the Croatian Writers' Association will also be organised.

As part of "Publishers' Academy", the current situation in European publishing and the future of publishing will be discussed.

Several awards for achievements in publishing, translation, printing and design will be handed out at the opening of the fair by the Publishers' Association, which organises the fair, including the Schwentner life-time achievement award.
