Adris grupa plans to consolidate the biggest Croatian and Slovenian insurers, but Zavarovalnica Triglav would remain independent and preserve its trade mark, Adris grupa corporate communications head Predrag Grubić said in a press release.

He added that Adris grupa assessed Zavarovalnica Triglav as an extraordinarily successful company with a great degree of expertise that is very well managed and a role model for other insurers in the region.

Adris grupa is one of the biggest Croatian companies consisting of three major divisions: tourism, tobacco and fish products.

Adris grupa posted EUR 350m in revenues in the first nine months of 2012, which is a 2.6% increase year-on-year. Nearly half of its revenue was generated abroad and due to currency differences, the group's profit before tax dropped by 13.5% year-on-year to EUR 76m.
