No Consensus on Pension Reform ahead of Second Reading
The list includes the height of pensions and the inclusion of student years in the years of service, said trade union KS 90 negotiator Peter Majcen.
"We had to initial something before the discussion in parliament, so that they don't demolish the things we've agreed on," Majcen added.
On Tuesday, the pension reform bill will be discussed by the parliamentary Labour Committee.
For the employers, the key open issues include pension and disability insurance contributions, insurance for freelancers and the wish to cap social contributions, Tatjana Čerin of the Commerce and Industry Chamber told the STA.
She said that all representatives of employers initialised the list, while the ZZZS trade union confederation and the KSJS confederation of public sector trade unions did not do so.
KSJS head Branimir Štrukelj said his trade unions would take position on the reform bill at third reading. The same position was expressed by Lučka Böhm of the ZSSS.
The trade unions expressed hope that the coalition would submit amendments that were sent to the negotiators today.
Janez Posedi of Pergam trade union association told the press that there would be time between the second and third reading to reach consensus with all trade unions if the parliament endorsed proposals tabled by the Labour Ministry.
An extraordinary session of parliament is called for Friday, when the National Assembly will discuss the reform at second reading.
The next round of negotiations among social partners is to be held in a week's time, after which the parliament is to proceed with the third reading.
