Finance Minister Janez Šušteršič expects that the guarantee for part of a EUR 440m loan to be finalised soon and the construction work at a new generator to continue.

Once signed, the contract will have to be ratified by the National Assembly. The minister believes this will not pose a problem, as the deputies endorsed an act regulating the state guarantee in July.

"In the past months, we have invested much effort to guarantee certain safeguards regarding the value of the project and responsibilities," Šušteršič told the press after the government session.
