Maze was leading after the first run but in the second she lost her advantage. With this result, Maze earned more than 1,000 points in the World Cup season before the New Year, which is a first in Alpine skiing.

This was the eleventh podium for Maze this season, with which she took over the slalom standings and further extended her lead in the overall World Cup standings. She now has a total of 1,059 points, 427 more than runner-up Maria Höfl-Riesch of Germany.
