Slovenian Embassy Remains NATO Contact Point in Montenegro
The embassy took over the role in 2011 and was confirmed for another two years in November 2012. According to UKOM, the extension of the appointment coincides with Montenegro's intensive work towards NATO membership.
Montenegro is expected to reach the point in the next two years when the decision on inviting it into the alliance will be taken.
The EUR 20,000 costs of the embassy's tasks as NATO contact point will be covered by the Slovenian Foreign Ministry.
