PM Janša to Receive Carinthia Governor Dörfler

Janša and the minority representatives discussed the need for a comprehensive and continuous implementation of the obligations of the Austrian state to the Slovenian community.

Bilingual education and political representation were highlighted as key challenges for the community's future development.

Also discussed were possibilities related to cross-border cooperation, especially in connection to EU funding. The minority representatives stressed that Slovenia's successful development was the best form of support.

Janša said that the government was in dialogue with the Austrian federal and local governments through different bodies, focusing on the development of a joint Slovenian space, the preservation of Slovenian identity, language, culture and cultural heritage as well as economic cooperation.
