According to the Slovenian Defence Ministry, the purpose of the visit will be to exchange views on future development and strengthening of bilateral cooperation between Slovenia and China in defence and military and the cooperation of the two countries' armed forces in international operations and missions.

Hojs and Liang are also expected to discuss the security situation in the Asian-Pacific region and SE Europe.

The two ministers will visit the Edvard Peperko barracks after the talks and Hojs will give a statement for the press at the Defence Ministry afterwards.

Liang's visit comes after Hojs's predecessor Ljubica Jelušič paid a visit to China in June 2011.
