Slovenia to Pay Its Share of EIB Capital Hike in Three Instalments

The member states were given the option to pay in one go or in three instalments, with Slovenia opting for the latter.

The EIB said the capital increase would allow it to provide up to EUR 60bn over three years in additional lending for economically viable projects in the EU.

The ministry noted that the funding would also be a key source of incentives for projects in Slovenia; between 2009 and 2012 EIB approved about EUR 560m annually for projects in the country.
